While perhaps not as well known as Rush’s more commercially viable records (Moving Pictures & Permanent Waves), A Farewell To Kings stands firm as a Rush fan favourite. Certainly more ‘prog’ – at least in the conventional sense – listeners are treated to two highlights; ‘Xanadu’ and ‘Cygnus X-1’, both of which clock in over ten minutes and embody the essence of Rush’s stellar musicianship.
