DANDO SHAFT An Evening With (Rare 1970 UK debut 8-trackstereo LP, recorded when the band were still an all malequintet, before the addition of Polly Bolton as lead singer thefollowing year. With music sitting in the Pentangleprogressive folk bracket but with the addition of moretraditional, bluegrass & Balkan elements to the songwritingthat set the band apart, this album was well received but stillsold relatively poorly, making quality copies a difficult thingto come by these days. The laminated sleeve has succumbedto a little ring wear & corner creasing, with light wear to theedges. Given the wrecked state that most copies of this arefound in, I’d say that this natural aging is a rare treat, beingfree from writing or tears. The vinyl is Excellent with fewsigns of play SSYB6)
