Phil Oakey and Philip Adrian Wright the only original Human League band members are joined by Ian Burden and Jo Callis on synthesizers and Joanne Catherall and Susanne Sulley on vocals for the bands third album on Virgin Records, “Dare” released in October 1981. After three hit singles, “The Sound of The Crowd”, “Love Action” and “Open Your Heart” the band released the final single from the album “Don’t You Want Me” which went to number 1 around the world and made “Dare” one of the biggest selling albums of the year.
