GRATEFUL DEAD 30 Trips Around The Sun (Rare 2015 US limitededition 80-CD box set. Issued in celebration of their 50th anniversary,and consists of 30 complete, previously unreleased concerts, with oneshow per year from 1966 through 1995, also includes a gold-colouredvinyl 7-inch single which bookends the band’s career. The A-side is”Caution (Do Not Stop on Tracks)” from the band’s earliest recordingsession in 1965. The B-side is the last song the band ever performedtogether live, “Box of Rain” recorded during their final encore atSoldier Field in Chicago on July 9, 1995. Housed in a stunning woodenbox, in the base in a hidden compartment, is a 288-page book with anextensive essay about the history of the band by archivist NicholasMeriwether, and an individually numbered scroll that has ‘a visualrepresentation’ of how the band’s live repertoire has evolved throughthe years, plus a reproduction ticket and backstage pass. The boxdisplays just a few light signs of age and the content remains in astunning condition)
